The Mary Ward Foundation
1 Rushworth St, London SE1 0RB, UK (Google Maps)
Experience an afternoon of Victorian fun as The Naughty Nineties present a selection of the period’s greatest hits, introduced by their very own gavel-wielding Master of Ceremonies.
Back in days before radio, TV and the internet the stars of Britain’s Music Halls – such as Marie Lloyd and Dan Leno - were household names. The songs they sang became part of popular culture and many are still well known today.
The Naughty Nineties are dedicated to preserving this important slice of our heritage and they regularly appear across London and the south-east. Their shows are performed in period costume and singing along is actively encouraged!
Tickets: £5 donation on the door
There are two Mary Ward Centre buildings, and this one is in Southwark
The venue is on the ground floor. There's level access and an accessible toilet at the back of the performance space. The nearest accessible station is Southwark (Jubilee line)
